AMS #4 Closing the CIRCL on Renewables

Updated: Feb 13, 2020

Amsterdam Climate Cocktail Club #4 took on the epicentre of the Dutch business world, the Zuidas. The event was held in CIRCL, the Netherlands' first practical example of a fully sustainable and circularly designed building. Nestled in between the high rise, suit laden towers, the building has floors made from rejected wooden window frames and DC power supply throughout the entire building.

This time around, Maurits Groen hosted 3 panellists sharing their expert visions on renewables in NL, storage to keep the lights on and micro-grids to control it all... The panellists were Dirk-Jan Middelkoop from Peeeks, Willemien van den Hoogen from Statkraft and Haike van de Vegte from Energy Exchange Enablers… thanks for inspiring our participants, team!

This marks yet another successful meet up… favourite comment of the evening for me – and this was posed by at least 5 participants independently – “I’m amazed at the amount of open conversations I’ve had. No agenda, no sales, just genuine interest and interesting people.” Let’s keep exactly THAT going, clubbers! More from me in the new year – I’m thinking a bio-tech focussed evening so let me know your thoughts!

Cheers

Gary
