The health and climate interface has been a hot topic amongst environmentalists for decades, but Covid-19 has thrown it fully into the spotlight. Questions around the next "big thing" to threaten human health have been coming thick and fast. But did you know that the healthcare sector is responsible for 4% of global emissions - thats more than aviation and shipping - plus a host of other potent gases and waste streams, including the obvious single use plastics.

Robert, Jessica and Glen are on a mission to inspire and transform the healthcare sector with a strong view of "first do no harm". This session will explore the context for climate and health, and dig deeper in the industry and its ability to transform at a system level.

  • Robert Metzke, Chief of Staff Innovation & Strategy and Head of Sustainability at Philips
